What Is a Playbook, and How Do I Use One in Advisor?

If you've ever opened Advisor and thought, "I know this tool is powerful, but I'm not sure what to ask it," — Playbooks are for you.

What is a Playbook?

A Playbook is a ready-made prompt built by the Playeasy team for a specific, common task. Instead of staring at a blank chat box trying to figure out the right question to ask, you can pick a Playbook that matches what you're trying to do — like pulling a performance report, calculating economic impact, researching event organizers to target, or building a presentation — and Advisor will guide you through it, asking for anything it needs along the way (like a date range or an event name).

Think of Playbooks as pre-built templates for your most useful conversations with Advisor.

We currently offer Playbooks in a few categories:

  • Performance Reporting — event engagement and analytics reports, hotel partner performance, and destination performance guides
  • Economic Impact Reporting — customized inputs for event impact reports, and Playeasy/SFC impact calculations
  • Sales Prospecting — event organizer targeting, research, and outreach
  • Create Presentations & Documents — turn your data into a polished deck or document

How to use a Playbook in Advisor

There are two easy ways to get started:

Option 1: Browse and pick one Copy and paste this link into Advisor: https://help.playeasy.com/advisor-playbooks#main-content, then just say "run a playbook." Advisor will show you the available options so you can select the one that fits what you need.

Option 2: Go straight to a specific Playbook Already know which one you want? Copy the link to that specific Playbook page and paste it directly into Advisor. It'll jump straight into that task.

Either way, Advisor takes it from there — asking you any follow-up questions it needs to complete the report, calculation, or document.

Why it's worth trying

Playbooks take the guesswork out of using Advisor. Rather than learning the "right" way to phrase a request, you can rely on a tested starting point built around what our customers actually use Advisor for most.

Have a task you wish had a Playbook? Let the Playeasy team know — we're always adding new ones.
