  1. What is Compass?
    1. Compass is Playeasy’s AI-powered trip planning and visitor engagement engine built specifically for DMOs to better engage visitors, extend their website content, and activate in-market experiences — driving direct traffic and measurable engagement.

    2. Compass uses your destination’s approved content (business listings, attractions, hotels, events, blog posts, and more) to deliver smart, curated recommendations directly to visitors. Compass acts as an always-on digital guide that helps travelers discover where to stay, eat, and explore based on your own destination data.

  2. Do I receive Compass as part of my Playeasy Elements purchase?
    1. Compass is included for all destinations using Playeasy Elements. It enhances your existing Elements tools by layering AI-powered discovery, search, and recommendations on top of the content you already manage.

  3. What happens to my existing AI Tour Guide?
    1. Your current AI Tour Guide automatically updates and becomes powered by Compass by January 2026. You do not lose any features. Instead, you gain more accurate results, improved search, richer recommendations, and deeper personalization.

  4. Do we control what content is shown in search results and AI conversations?
    1. Yes. Compass only uses the destination-approved content that you choose to include: your business listings, attractions, hotels, events, blog posts, and descriptions. You have full control over what appears and what does not. This content can be managed in Playeasy, or can now be automatically synced from your Simpleview CMS.

  5. Can we rank how businesses are suggested based on our membership?
    1. Yes. Destinations can prioritize certain categories, partners, or paid member groups to appear more prominently in recommendations. For Simpleview CMS Sync customers, any pre-existing rankings from your CMS will apply within Compass results. You define the rules, and Compass follows them.

  6. How are the results prioritized? Location, relevance, etc.
    1. Compass uses multiple factors to determine the best results for a visitor, including:

      • Relevance to the question or search query

      • Location relative to the user’s point of interest or event

      • Destination-defined priorities (featured partners, categories, membership tiers)

      • Content quality (richness, completeness, freshness)

  7. Can this be placed on any type of website?
    1. Yes. Compass can be embedded on virtually any website platform, including WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, custom builds, mobile sites, and more. If your site can host an embed code, Compass will work.

  8. Can we give this to our partners to place on their website? Is there a limit to how many websites it can be placed on if so?
    1. Yes. You can share Compass with partners, venues, hotels, and local organizations so they can place it on their websites as well. There is no limit to where Compass can be embedded—destinations can deploy it widely to expand their reach.

  9. Can we track results/referrals?
    1. Absolutely. Destinations receive analytics showing conversations, referrals to listings, events, and more. These analytics you understand demand, strengthen partner engagement, and guide marketing strategy.

  10. What kind of cost is associated with Compass?
    1. Compass is included with Playeasy Elements at no additional cost. If a destination would like to use Compass without Elements or explore custom implementations, your Account Manager can walk you through available pricing options.

  11. How do we get started?
    1. Reach out to your Playeasy Account Manager to get started. Here's how it works:

      1. Connect your CMS to power Compass with up-to-date destination content. (Optional)

      2. Add two lines of code to bring Compass to life on your website.

      3. Give your events, venues, & local businesses their own trip-planning tools.
